Are The “5 Deadly Whites” Coming To Take You Away? (Part 4:Oils)

The first four of the “deadly whites” are white rice, white flour, white salt, and white sugar, as explored in the first three parts of this article.

The last “deadly white” is “white” oil.

What do I mean by “white” oil? “White” oil is any processed oil, found in the grocery stores, that comes in plastic or glass jars, such as vegetable oil, corn oil, safflower oil, canola oil, peanut oil, sesame seed oil, and even olive oil.

Many people believe that vegetable oils, and nowadays, especially olive oil, are health foods. Processed oils are not health foods, and, in fact, oils and fats create the perfect environment for many cancers to grow. Cancer loves fat and oil of any kind, and it is not choosy about saturated or unsaturated. And once that fat is heated, that fat is even worse for you.

Fats and oils clog up our arteries and veins causing a multitude of conditions and diseases that we are all familiar with: cardiovascular disease, strokes, hypertension, diabetes, gallstones, kidney stones, and many more.

And we all know fat is very high in calories and gets stored in those places we see, and, even worse, fat gets stored in places we don’t see like around the heart, kidneys, and other vital organs.

Obesity, or thirty pounds overweight, alone is the direct cause of many conditions and diseases. Obesity is said by some experts to directly contribute to approximately 300,000 premature deaths in this country every year, a conservative estimate.

So is “white” oil deadly? You bet it is, especially when consumed with the other four deadly whites: white flour, white rice, white salt, and white sugar.

There are a group of oils and fats that are considered even worse for your body and your health than the vegetable oil out of the bottle or the butter from the stick. These fats are called trans fats. Basically trans fats are altered fats.

When oil is heated, it turns into trans fat. Trans fats are known to be even a greater risk for heart disease and cancer than butter. Foods that are made with heated oils contain trans fats, including such foods as:

Fried foods

Baked goods
Cooked foods that contain oil
Chips
Crackers
Candy
Cookies and cakes
Donuts
Packaged and processed foods

Any time there is oil in a food that is heated, whether it is baked or fried, that oil turns into a deadly substance called trans fats which is said to cause heart disease and cancer.

Trans fats are also found in hydrogenated fats. Hydrogenated fats are those oils that are semi-solid in nature, like margarines. Margarines of any kind are horrible for you, and butter is no better.

Hydrogenated fats are found in obvious places and in the most unsuspecting places. Read the labels. Hydrogenated fats are found in mayonnaise, shortening, salad dressings, peanut butter, chocolate, and candy, including some hard candies that you would never guess had any fat hidden in them at all.

Along with heart disease and cancer, trans fats cause increased cholesterol, atherosclerosis, and compromise of the immune system, the nervous system, and the metabolic system. The membranes of the cells, which are responsible for the nutrients getting into the cells and the waste getting out of the cells, are also damaged.

If a food substance contains added processed oil and/or hydrogenated and trans fats, seriously consider eliminating these foods from your diet and daily food intake altogether. Not only will it enhance your health and fitness, but eliminating added fats and oils will facilitate healthy weight loss and ideal weight maintenance forever.

Fried chicken or fish and chips for dinner anyone? I don’t think so!

Taking Chances: Betting Establishment Taking a Risk

If you do not understand betting house card playing, feel free to read on — For clarity’s sake: a gaming establishment is a building that accomodates gambling. Here, paying customers are expected to take a wager by having a bash at the one armed bandits or different pastimes. Gaming room games more often than not have methodically determined percentages informing them which ensure the casino keeps possession of its ascendancy over the gamers.

A lot of betting room games encourage you to get overly habituated swiftly. For example the infamous 1 armed bandit, a cash operated contraption with three cogs which spin if an arm on its flank is started. This appliance consistently compensates referring to a series of pictures seen on the front of the machine. Deplorably, betting hall games will convey the delusion of ascendancy, effectively deluding the gaming aficionado — the participant is challenged with decisions, but actually these can not level the player’s long-term handicap. This is induced by the betting hall never paying out the full sum as expected. This system is repeatedly found in well known casino games like seven card stud poker, craps, roulette or blackjack.

Stud poker is undoubtedly a highly fashionable casino pastime. The guests, holding partially concealed hands, bet in the pot that is finally bestowed onto the last participant endowed with best combination of cards. (Of course, the coolest bluff may well prevail) Not far removed from straight poker, blackjack is likewise an immensely fashionable casino pastime. A substantial chunk of its notoriety is thanks to the mix of chance and skill and choice making, not to forget a system called “counting”. The aforementioned is an approach in which gambling devotees can actually shift the odds of the card game in their interest by both betting and procedural decisions correlating with the cards shown.

Craps is yet another well-known gambling hall pastime where you try to guess the throw of a couple of dice. Gamesters will place stakes on the score of 1 roll, or on a succession of rolls of 2 dice. In contrast to blackjack, there can’t be a credible winning strategy you could use to beat the odds. Roulette is a famous game of chance. Here, a croupier spins a roulette wheel that incorporates thirty-seven (classical roulette) or, respectively 38 (American roulette) differently tagged pockets in which the rolling pellet will come to a stop, thereby announcing the final winning number as well as the attached sequences. Supposing that the player bets on any given number and is successful, which is to say he is indeed lucky, the promised disimbursement is thirty five to one, the initial stake itself will be paid back. Indeed in total it’s increased by 36.

Please take care to be very very watchful notwithstanding because many of those betting hall pastimes can be pretty habituating. Uncounted lives have probably been spoilt thru inordinate gambling + even though it indisputably may be enjoyable, do your best to moderate your play.

Depression

The ‘experts’ have tried to evaluate me as a sufferer of this but found no such evidence or behavior. The same was true for all other mental or medical conditions, so they think ‘witch’ covers my condition in life; because I refuse to participate in the materially managed environment any more. We will not explore the horrors of the current forms of Inquisition in great detail in this book as it relates to me. That would definitely be too serious and intense, as I would explain society’s role in tortures such as I witness all around me every day. I have been thwarted in devious gambits by those who have something even worse than the strait-jacket as we have seen Drs Breggin and Cohen describe in ‘Science’. They call it (appropriately) ‘pharmacological lobotomies’. ECT is even more disgusting and joins Ritalin in a campaign which social forces are developing in this control paradigm. It seems relevant to point out enough of the matter of my experience so that you will know you are getting it pretty close to what they say when they use the phrase ‘the horse’s mouth’.

Even the pharmacological and psychiatric conglomerate acknowledges the physical elements of depression. Some are cluing in to nutrition and massage or simple caring. The effects of education and alienation are massive, but bad parenting and the lack of enabling nutritive support in early life establish character and behavior traits that stubbornly resist real therapeutic methods. These obsessions often are far too time-consuming for high-paid ‘professionals’ to offer assistance - so we just drug and deceive! This medical model as some call it makes a great deal of money and keeps the public at large thinking something humane is going on in the life of the care-givers and victims of a society without true spiritual awareness and far too little compassion. The buzz words and catchy phrases like ‘informed consent’ are not anything more than deceit, as they still give lobotomies. In one case they did it without informing the person who just died in 2005.

Francis Mark Mondimore writes a book called ‘Depression, The Mood Disease’ updated in 1993 by Johns Hopkins University that presents the lies of this machine that Ivan Illich (in ‘Limits To Medicine’) identified as ‘mechanistic and over-professionalized’ in the mid 70s.Here is the overstatement of the century from its inside flap:

“The revised ‘Depression, the Mood Disease’ tells readers exactly what they need to know about the causes, symptoms, and treatment of depression: *How antidepressant drugs were discovered, how they work, and with what side effects. {I’m biting my tongue!} *What Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and panic attacks are, and how they are treated. *How electro-convulsive therapy has changed for the better–and why it now works for up to 90% of those treated. {And all the professions involved in continuing to provide this fearsome horror that is necessary to repeat as it continues frying brain cells. Now randomly due to a drug cocktail, so that people’s libido and zest is burned out too.} *How the special problems of depression in children and older persons are handled. *How to deal with a depressed friend or family member. *How such disorders as hormonal imbalance and even lead poisoning can ‘mimic’ the symptoms of depression. *Why depression is sometimes misdiagnosed as ‘PMS’, drug abuse, or Alzheimer’s disease…” (2)

The future holds promises and terrors galore in the application of ‘easy’ answers like drugs developed for specific genetic make-ups and nanites to monitor and deliver targeted drugs or shocks to the system in order to make us behave as we should. The ever-increasing ‘big brother’ that allows the growth industries associated with the management of people will lead to full employment if we allow it to continue down the current path. There will only be one benefit as the unemployable grow in number and the employment roles show full employment. The statistics will show the economy is productive and there is little unemployment or reason to worry about an economic depression. That is the end of the excerpt from my encyclopedia. I will be including some other more recent writings as we proceed.

I had returned from the Caribbean and a failed business experience in Mexico and Belize in the month of March 1998. My last wife and I had purchased a yacht, which we hoped to be able to build a party boat/tourist business around. My wife had named the boat ‘Champagne Dreams’ after the motto of Robin Leach’s show ‘The Rich and the Famous’. It was her idea that we put a Jacuzzi on the front deck, of this 47 foot fiberglass yacht that we purchased in Fort Lauderdale, and our partner (Captain Crunch) Jerry had taken with me to Cancun. His nickname had not been established until we were leaving Key West. He destroyed the fueling station of the marina while hitting three other boats. We were still married though it was never a real marriage as most people think of it. The relationship was already complicated with another man named David.

It is not the purpose of this book to try to describe the trials and tribulations of a relationship between myself and a young Vietnamese exotic dancer who had been one of the ‘boat ‘people’. Suffice it to say there were many exciting times that had lead me to the point where I was ready to leave this world before I even met her. I had been a self-made millionaire at the age of thirty. My travels and business had allowed me to meet some of the most interesting people. By any standard of measurement most would agree I had enjoyed life FULLY. My interest in psychology due to having grown up with a schizophrenic mother had long before gotten into the realm of Eastern mysticism and parapsychology.

My wife was just twenty-two and I was forty six years old. We had gone to Cancun in early September of 1997 to further research a stele that I had found at Chichen Itza four years before with my previous wife. This event had ended with my being thrown off the site, and having to sign a document giving the Mexican authorities the right to throw me in a Mexican prison, without any recourse to the courts and Canadian law. This is truly a story of oppression of the Mayan and native people of Central America that includes a deceit of history which is IMMENSE! We had been doing a non-invasive charcoal rubbing of this ’stele’ (stone for heavenly worship, or library in stone). It had been painted over twice and it seemed the white surface would have made the pictures provide insufficient clarity. So we had some paper we were using over the stone to capture the alphabet that had not ‘come out’ in the previous photos I had taken four years earlier when the granite ‘rock’ had its original shiny surface.

This alphabet I believe confirms the work of Col. Churchward, the author of ‘The Lost Continent of Mu’, who documents the Cara-Maya language is the translational medium through which the Greek alphabet on the other side of the ’stele’ tells the story of the destruction of the civilization that originally colonized South America some sixty thousand years earlier. I believe Col. Churchward would agree with my statement that the original colonization had started during the Riis-Wurm geologic Ice Age, and was finalized during the last Ice Age; if he had the benefit of recent geologic and archaeologic evidence. A fellow researcher and good friend named Brenda found this in Islam and Sufism which applies to my personal quest.

Dear Brenda:

Was this the result of Jeffrey mentioning the Language of the Birds is the Language of the Bards and the alchemist (like this person) Fulcanelli? This whole thing is very much from the Keltic Creed. I draw attention to these parts - “The Hoopoe says that it is better to lose your life than to languish miserably. The Hoopoe says,

So long as we do not die to ourselves, and so long as we identify with someone or something, we shall never be free. The spiritual way is not for those wrapped up in exterior life.5

You will enjoy happiness if you succeed in withdrawing from attachment to the world. Whoever is merciful even to the merciless is favored by the compassionate. It is better to agree to differ than to quarrel. The Hoopoe warns the sixth bird against the dog of desire that runs ahead. Each vain desire becomes a demon, and yielding to each one begets a hundred others. The world is a prison under the devil, and one should have no truck with its master. The Hoopoe also says that if you let no one benefit from your gold, you will not profit either; but by the smallest gift to the poor you both benefit. She says,

Good fortune will come to you only as you give. If you cannot renounce life completely, you can at least free yourself from the love of riches and honors.6

A pupil becomes afraid in facing a choice between two roads, but a shaikh advises getting rid of fear so that either road will be good. The Hoopoe tells the eighth bird that only if death ceases to exercise power over creatures would it be wise to remain content in a golden palace.” (3)

Insider Tips For Finding A Great Online Poker Room

Even though they look pretty much the same and they’re all selling essentially the same few games, all Online Poker Rooms are NOT created equal! The differences can go far beyond the look and feel of the software. After you’ve played at several different rooms, you’ll start to see the tell-tale signs of a quality room as opposed to the “back alley” type.

Here’s a few things to consider before you plunk down your money.

The Number Of Players

It simply doesn’t matter how great the software is or how many game variations Are Offered. If you’re sitting alone, staring at the virtual walls …What Good Is The Poker Room? The great pokerrooms always have lots of real money players — Playing!

Cash Outs

Don’t let a big bonus or huge game selection be the only criteria you use when selecting a Pokerroom. Make sure you understand how to cash out, where your money will go and how quickly you’ll get paid. Remember, what good is your bankroll if you don’t have access to it?

Customer Service

Before you purchase, know the customer service options. Is there a toll free phone number? Is there Online Chat (my personal favorite)? Or is email your only option? Make sure you can contact a rep when you need one. Here’s A Tip: Before You Purchase, Contact Support and Ask a few questions, Just to see how responsive and knowledgeable the staff is. Great Pokerrooms know how important Customer Service is and will make sure their reps are well trained!

Bonus/Comps

Free Money at sign-up is always nice! But, it’s really not very important. Remember, there are always play through requirements and the more “Free Money” you get the more you’ll have to play before you can actually cash it out.

More important then a sign-up bonus is the ongoing comps that are offered. Poker can be a very exciting game, where you have a pretty good chance of consistently winning. Once you find a poker room that you like, chances are you’ll be playing there frequently. A good comp program can directly add to your bottom line!

Ease of Use

I’m including the entire poker room “experience” in this category. Starting with the first time you visit the site, through the download and sign up process, making a deposit, choosing a table and of course, the actual game-play. The easier it is to get all of this done the better. A clean, simple homepage and intuitive, easily installed software are important factors that shouldn’t be overlooked.

And Finally…

I’ve outlined what I think are the most important factors in any Pokerroom. Of course, you’ll need to consider your own factors also…

For Example:

* Do You Like Frequent Tournaments?

* What Table Limits Are You Comfortable With?

* Are You Interested In Multi-Table Play?

An hour or so of research before you actually make your first deposit can go a long way toward improving your online playing experience.

Vitamin Information for Health

Vitamin C may be the most famous vitamin. Tens of thousands of British sailors were dying of the disease scurvy until they began taking limes and other citrus fruit along on voyages. The vitamin C in the citrus prevented the disease. Vitamin C also works as an anti-oxidant and supports the synthesis of collagen, which helps keep the skin healthy and youthful. A good way to get some daily vitamin C is to drink a glass of orange juice with breakfast.

Vitamin D is famous for saving children from the bone disease called rickets. This vitamin was so important to health it was added to milk. All milk products are now enriched with Vitamin D and the disease of rickets has been eradicated. This vitamin is important to maintain strong bones and joints.

Vitamin B became well known when it was discovered to stop the disease beriberi. Vitamin B actually includes a complex of the vitamins thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), folic acid (B9), cyanocobalamin (B12) pantothetic acid, choline and biotin. B vitamins help the body to breakdown carbohydrates. Choline is thought to help with fat metabolism. Vegetarians may not get enough of the B vitamins since they don’t eat meat, and may want to take a multi-vitamin supplement.

Vitamin A is believed to help your membranes including your eyes. This may be why folklore has said to eat carrots for good eyesight. Carrots have beta-carotene in them, which your body converts to Vitamin A as needed. Vitamin A supports healthy cells, immune function, growth hormone and healing.

Vitamin E is believed to support the heart, skin, hair, muscles, nerves and joints. It is a natural anti-oxidant. This vitamin was discovered when laboratory rats were not given a balanced diet. They were only fed one kind of food at a time. It was found that they could stay alive but could not breed. The missing factor was Vitamin E. It was named after “E” for Eros because a lack of this vitamin caused a lack of the ability to breed. This doesn’t mean Vitamin E is an aphrodisiac of any kind. It simply shows that a lack of this important vitamin can cause health problems.

Vitamin K is known for helping blood to clot properly. Some patients receive this vitamin prior to surgery to help with this function. A doctor should always be consulted prior to taking Vitamin K by anyone who is on anti-coagulant medications of any kind.

Medical studies continue to find new vitamin information every year, and new ways in which vitamins contribute to our health. The best way to get vitamins is through a balanced diet. Many people also like to take a daily multi-vitamin and mineral complex just to be sure their diet is not missing any important nutrients.

Eating the Australian Way

Australians are often divided into the haves, and the have-nots.

But they’re not always talking about money.

These days, it’s often the haves (too much body fat), versus the have-nots (not overweight).

We can’t seem to make up our minds whether to eat at McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, Krispy Kreme, Starbucks, and All-You-Can-Eat fast food restaurants, or whether to grab a protein snack, a freshly-squeezed fruit juice with wheatgrass and go straight to the gym.

Women’s Magazines have the same problem. A sample magazine from this month featured diet and exercise routines from three TV personalities and movie stars. Yet the back section of the magazine featured recipes such as luscious mocha fudge cake.

The incidence of obesity in Australia rose dramatically in the 90s - 80% for women. And over 20% of children and adolescents are overweight or obese. Our eating habits are often unbalanced.

Yet a trip to the local beach shows a large number of exceedingly fit bodies, often accompanied by personal trainers. Perhaps the rebellion has begun.

Australian authors are now responsible for several internationally-known health and fitness books, such as the Sandra Cabot’s Liver Cleansing Diet, the CSIRO WellBeing Diet, and Jennie Brand-Miller’s New Glucose Revolution.

So let’s assume you’ve decided to improve your health and fitness, upped your intake of raw fruit and vegies (for Liver Cleansing), are monitoring your intake of white breads and potatoes (for Glucose Revolution), and planning a BBQ based around lean meat for dinner tonight (CSIRO diet).

A November 2005 announcement from Jennie Brand-Miller is good news for the traditional Ocker image of throwing a shrimp on the barbie, while drinking a cold beer.

Apparently moderate alcohol intake has been related to a reduced risk of type 2 diabetes and coronary heart disease. The new study looked at the impact of beer, white wine and gin on a carbohydrate-based meal. The result was that the alcoholic drinks, in particular the white wine, helped to lower the glucose and insulin response after the meal.

So if someone criticises you for that pre-dinner drink this summer, just say that you’re making an effort to avoid diabetes. They may just buy you another drink for being so thoughtful.

Cheers.

Art versus Web Design Riverside California

The art scene in Riverside California seems to be a steadfast community; however despite its enduring qualities it seems to have plateaued to an unchanging level of interest for quite some time. There are still very active portions within the art community in the area but for the most part it seems stuck in its ways. A few skilled artists who seem to have done their homework with anatomy and exploring more than what lies beyond there immediate lives. Some of the most interesting bits of flare that have traveled through the area have been outside artist exhibitions. Sadly the community itself that is actually indigenous to the area is more reminiscent of a high school or early college level.

It almost makes you want to refrain from a career in Art and lean more towards a profession that may be in more demand such as Graphic or Web design in Riverside. The studio arts seem to have taken a turn for the worst as far as productivity and monetary success.

More lucrative creative careers are developing interest and attention in the community as well. Institutions with higher level design degrees are not only flourishing but finding attention in smaller communities where it is now obvious that work is work regardless of whether one is living in the industry hub of Los Angeles or fifty plus miles away in the Inland Empire.

Who’s Afraid Of Nicole Kidman

A tall elegant redhead, Nicole Kidman, who has appeared often as a blonde or a brunette is the films she has graced with her incredibly subtle performances. While she tries to choose good scripts, her fans nevertheless will watch anything she’s in and walk away satisfied with much disregard to story or other performances.

It did not come as a surprise when she was finally nominated for her work in Moulin Rouge. She was working on Dogville when she received word of the nomination. How this woman can juggle her success with raising two children is beyond belief for some, but Kidman is known for her firm discipline in work as well as in life.

While her last films did not complement her talent, they did enjoy a decent amount of box office success. Interestingly it seems that she chooses what films to do based on the same genres. Recently, she has played mostly quirky characters in a group of comedies (Stepford Wives, Bewitched) while many have confused her more dramatic roles in tragedo-dramas (Birth, Dogville, The Human Stain).

Kidman has worked with the most prolific actors ranging from Stanley Kubrick to Sidney Pollack to Gus Van Sant and Lans Van Trier and she has a lot of more work coming up soon.

These days, whatever project enters the casting process, Kidman’s name always seems to be the first to come up. For a while she was rumored to have been involved with the highly secretive JFK script Machiavelli Hangman - http://www.hangmanmovie.com (directed by Shervin Youssefian - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1352346/), to be produced by then hubby Tom Cruise. Her involvement with the hangman is still not completely certain but a possible cameo may surprise audiences at the film’s release, in late December.

Kidman is also involved with seven other projects that will be soon in theatres everywhere. These include Wedding Season, American Darlings, Emma’s War, The Lady From Shanghai, Invasion, Happy Feet and Fur.

In the Tony Scott directed Emma’s War, Kidman plays with co-star Taylor Handley. This movie is said to bring her a second Oscar win for her role as an aid worker in the Sudan who marries a warlord who wants to take over the country.

Kidman’s range as an actress has attracted many filmmakers but interestingly enough, she has never worked with either Steven Spielberg or Martin Scorsese who are two of the most important American directors of the time.

With so much work on her plate, one would wonder how she makes the time to devote 100% to each project and always come out brilliant. Not a lot of people could deal with so much pressure and that is the precise reason why there is only one Nicole Kidman on the charts.
