How to Add Warmth, Color & Texture to Your Advertisements

“…A powerful agent is the right word…” –Mark Twain

And what true words those are! Your marketing efforts have the ability to succeed…or to fail…based on the words you choose to represent your products, services, and yourself in your ads.

You have the ability to choose any words you desire. The problem is, sometimes, we draw a blank. Our minds seem amiss of anything creative to say. This is when a diverse collection of pre-written phrases, designed to bring miraculous changes to your ads, comes in handy.

A collection of pre-written phrases, which you can drop right into your ad text, offers a lot of magic, a good deal of choices, and an incredible journey through words which develop warmth, color, and add texture to your ads. With pre-written buzz-word phrases, you can bring your ad to life - immediately.

So how do you come up with these phrases and buzz words?

Step one is to become aware of every advertisement you’re exposed to, whether it be on television, in a newspaper, in email, or in a magazine. Just pay attention and study those ads.

Step two involves gathering your pre-written phrases. Write down words which make an impact on you. Make a notebook, or a computer document, and as you are exposed to the ads around you, jot down those phrases and buzz words. Here’s some phrases and words I jotted down recently:

Accept nothing but the best
Because you’re worth it
Consider it a gift from you…to you

The third step is to take these phrases and integrate them into your ads. The best way to do this is work with an ad which you’ve already written. How much impact does it have? How much sparkle and pizzaz does it possess? Does your already-written ad grab your attention? If the answer is NO, then it’s time to input some marketing miracle phrases - sprinkle them about your ad, pick some from your list which fit with your product or service - and revise.

Let’s take a look at an ad I found written by someone who is not using marketing miracle phrases:

“New ladies brown leather coat. Size XL.”

The ad for this item really didn’t capture my attention. The photo of the item did - it’s a nice product! Let’s see how the actual ad can be spruced up with the use of some marketing miracle phrases:

“Give radiance to everything when you wear this exquisite, full-length, chocolate brown leather coat. For lovers of fine quality everywhere, you’ll experience comfort and luxury, for just a fraction of the retail price. Handsomely crafted, it will make a chic addition to your winter wardrobe. Ladies size XL.”

See the difference? Using marketing miracle words gives you a new way of impacting your buyers with words and phrases designed to bypass the mind, get your product deep into their heart and soul, and reach the core of their deepest desires.

So why not try it with your own ads? Just follow the three steps in this article to add warmth, color and texture to your ads. See the change in your ads, and the change in your bottom line sales figures. Good luck!

Insightful Information About F1 Auto Racing Courses

A common F1 race course by and large consists of an extended piece of straight tarmac on which the starting grid is placed. The pit lane, where the Formula One drivers pull in for refilling & replace old tyres during the grand prix, and where the Formula 1 teams work on the Formula 1 cars prior to the F1 race, is usually positioned next to the starting rows. The plan of the other parts of the circuit changes enormously, even though in countless instances the race track is built in a clockwise way. Those few courses that do run anticlockwise (C181& so have mainly left-handed turns) can cause drivers health problems owing to the massive amount of lateral forces made by Formula One cars pulling their body in the reverse direction to normal.

A lot of the race tracks currently in operation are particularly constructed for racing events. The existing street circuits are the Circuit of Monte-Carlo and Melbourne, though street circuits in other cities come & go (For Example, Las Vegas and Detroit) and proposals for such races are often considered ? in recent times London & Beirut. Quite a few other courses are also entirely or partially laid out on normal public roads, for example Spa-Francorchamps. The allure and status of the Monte Carlo Formula One grand prix are the main reasons why the race course is still in use at present, since it’s thought not to meet the meticulous safety requirements obligatory on other race tracks. Three-time F1 World champion Nelson Piquet notably illustrated racing in Monte Carlo as “like riding a bicycle around your own living room”. Eating Dog Feces

“My dog eats his own poop!” exclaims the shocked human family member of an otherwise-perfect canine. Or, embarrassed to come right out with it, the human says, “I need to ask about this thing my dog does. It’s really strange and disgusting…” The average person doesn’t seem to discuss poop-eating dogs with friends and family, so people don’t realize it’s a common dog behavior.

Natural Behavior

Mother dogs clean their nursing puppies and eat the feces. With pups in the nest, you can imagine the unhealthy situation that would result from the waste being allowed to accumulate. Cats perform this task for their kittens, too. Other adult dogs in the family sometimes take over motherly duties in times of need, such as a litter too large for the mother or a mother who is ill or dies.

False pregnancies are normal in intact female dogs, and female dogs tend to cycle on the same schedule with other females in the same household. Other females who are in false pregnancy are often well equipped to mother some or all of the pups in another female’s litter.

You can see that eating dog feces is not at all an unusual behavior for dogs. When the pups start eating solid food and walking well enough to get out of the nest to poop, mom can stop the cleaning duty. But the habit can certainly persist in her, and the hard-wired instinct probably exists in most dogs, ready to be triggered by various life situations.

Triggers

Sometimes we don’t know why a particular dog starts eating poop, but certain conditions can trigger the behavior. Since some of these indicate a dog who needs help, you’ll want to consider them as possibilities for what is going on with your dog.

1. A dog with a physical problem that causes excessive hunger, pain, or other sensations may resort to eating feces. If your adult dog who has not previously had this habit suddenly develops it, take the dog to your veterinarian for a check-up.

2. A dog who is not getting enough to eat or is going too long between meals may eat feces. Your veterinarian can help you evaluate the dog’s weight and can suggest a feeding schedule and amount. Sometimes it takes experimentation to see what works best for a particular dog.

3. A dog with intestinal parasites or other condition that creates blood or other fecal changes may eat feces. One dog may eat the feces of another dog who is shedding something like this in the stools. A fresh fecal specimen to your veterinarian for evaluation can detect some of these problems.

4. Sometimes a change of diet helps. There doesn’t seem to be any one food that is right for all dogs, and your dog may need something different than you’re currently feeding. Be sure to make any changes of diet gradual, mixing the new food in with the old over a period of several days or weeks, to give the dog’s intestines time to adjust and avoid diarrhea from the change.

5. Some dogs develop a mental connection that they will be punished if their humans find them in the same room with feces. Dogs react to this fearful situation in various ways, and one way is to eat the feces so it will not be there to make the human angry. This is one of many reasons not to use punishment when housetraining a dog.

6. Boredom can cause dogs to do all sorts of things, including eat feces. Interesting toys that have treats inside them for the dog to get out can help with lots of boredom-based problems.

7. Dogs may do just about any wild thing when suffering from separation anxiety. If that is the problem, this won’t be the only symptom, and you’ll want to help your dog work through the separation anxiety.

Sanitation

The number-one thing you can do to help overcome feces eating is to keep your dog’s area clean of feces. This means housetraining, and supervising the dog whenever the dog is in the designated relief area. It’s obviously not healthy for dogs to eat feces, and preventing the dog from carrying out the habit is also basic to getting the habit to fade.

It’s not healthy for humans or dogs to have the feces lying around, either. Until a dog is fully housetrained and the feces-eating habit has died out, picking up after each bowel movement is an important tactic. After the dog’s habits are steady, you may be able to pick up just once a day if you have a private place for the dog to use.

Food Additives

Some people swear by food additives to stop a dog from eating feces. Sometimes the theory is that the additive provides a nutrient the dog is seeking when eating feces and thus the dog will no longer crave feces. Other times the theory is that the additive makes the feces taste bad and the dog will not want it.

Before you try adding any of these things to your dog’s food, consult your veterinarian about whether the particular additive is safe for your particular dog. Don’t expect any additive to be a miracle cure. These things tend to work for the occasional dog, but chances are pretty good that your dog won’t be the one.

Bait and Switch

While you’re hanging out with your dog to supervise, you can hurry the process of fading out the feces-eating habit with a simple and pleasant training technique. The tools you’ll need are a collar or head halter for the dog, a leash, and small treats your dog values highly.

If your dog is easily handled, the collar will do. If the dog is extremely determined to eat the poop, extremely fast or strong, have a behavior specialist fit your dog with the correct size head halter, introduce your dog to it gently, and give you one or more lessons on how to use the head halter safely and effectively. It gives you more control over the dog’s mouth than a collar, and if your particular dog needs it for this training you’ll be glad to have the skill for other training situations, too.

Take your dog out to potty on leash. As soon as the poop hits the ground and the dog shows interest in it, call the dog to you. Use the leash not to jerk the dog, but simply to keep the dog from being able to reach the feces. Keep the treats out of sight.

The instant the dog reaches you, praise the dog, whip out a treat and give it. Then back away from the dog, praise and give another treat for coming to you, and repeat that for a total of three to five times. At this point you have really taken the dog’s mind off the feces.

Go on indoors with the dog and come back out without the dog to clean up. Once you have good control and a good rapport with the dog, you can go ahead and clean up while the dog is still outside. As you set this habit more strongly through repetition, you will be able to do the bait-and-switch with the dog on a long line, coming to you at the back door for a treat. Eventually you’ll be able to do bait-and-switch without a leash or line on the dog. Keep up the same energy and level of reward, if you want the dog to keep responding!

Talk about It

After the dog has been prevented from eating feces for a considerable length of time, the habit tends to fade. That makes supervising the dog and working on this in the positive, bait-and-switch way very worth your while. Start the intervention as soon as you notice the dog eating feces, because the less time a habit has been going on, the more easily it will fade.

Help your friends and family by talking about this problem. You’ll help their dogs in the process, too, because some people try punishment to break the habit. As you know now, that doesn’t work, and it’s destructive to the dog’s trust in people and to the family’s relationship with their dog. Let’s bring this “dirty little secret” out into the open.

The above is general veterinary information. Do not begin any course of treatment without consulting your regular veterinarian. All animals should be examined at least once every 12 months.

The One Critical Piece Of Free Software That’s Been Overlooked

Can You Prevent Spyware, Worms, Trojans, Viruses,
… To Work When You Switch Your Pc On ?
I Can And I Do It On A Pro-active Basis.

Surfing Means More And More To Stay Invisible, To Be
Clean From The Inside And To Prevent Installment Of
Malicious Software (So Preventing Unwanted Communication
From Inside To Outside And From Outside To Inside).

How do you stay invisible while surfing? Of course
by installing a firewall. How do I get one free?
That’s the easy point.

You like to stay invisible. But are you?
And how do you know? You could do a test from someone
out there trying to get in. But who can you trust?

Suppose you are doing a test. Do you obtain objective
and reliable information about your PC-vulnerability
(for free)?

Now even if you stay invisible, you will visit websites
leaving cookies in your PC and you will download software.
By doing so you will get spyware, viruses, …

How can you detect them and delete them? That’s also
the easy point: you have to install an anti-virus program
and anti-spyware programs. Research on the internet
makes it clear that you need 2 anti-spyware programs.
Why 2? Because a great fish may be caught by the net
but a small fish can swim through the holes.
Using 2 makes the holes smaller. What are those 2 free
programs you have to download?

Can you prevent spyware to install on your PC? Maybe,
maybe not. There is one free software that might
prevent it (but not with 100% guarantee).

And even then you need an additional freeware program
to prevent a piranha to install itself on your PC
(just enabling itself to start up whenever you switch your
PC on). This freeware program is overlooked by many and
gives you an additional feeling of relief and security.
It gives you also a hint whether some new downloaded
software is good or bad (and thus giving you the chance
to delete it anyway before it becomes too malicious).

Now you owe it to yourself to maximize the safety
of your PC for surfing. You need a firewall,an
anti-virus software, 2 anti-spyware programs,
one spyware preventing program, a trusty guard preventing
installment in your startup files and even 3 musketeers.
And last but not least do a safe test to get an objective
idea about the vulnerability of your PC.

Everything is free. It only needs your attention.

Used Copiers

The high prices of new copiers often prompt many businesses to consider purchasing used copiers. This might turn out to be a good idea. Properly refurbished copiers can be a dependable part of a business establishment for a long time. Now, what are “properly refurbished copiers?” It is certainly more than just cleaning the outside and making sure it still works. Apart from a thorough cleaning of inside and out, “properly refurbished” copiers must have all worn parts replaced, and be inspected for any potential problems.

Remember, “multifunctional” copiers that can function as printer, scanner, and fax machines also are suitable for home offices only. Multi-person offices should avoid them, as per-copy prices are much higher and they’re not built to handle a business copy volume.

Another vital factor you must take into consideration is the “mileage” on the machines you are planning to buy. Copiers possess built-in counters that track total usage. After receiving a reply from your vendor about the “mileage,” check for yourself once the machine is delivered.

You should also find a trustworthy dealer you can work with. Due to the need for extensive maintenance, refurbished copiers usually come with a warranty of 30, 60, or 90 days. Negotiate with the dealer on this, and never settle for something like a 30-day warranty. Even a used copier can be quite costly, so you should try to protect your investment as much as possible.

It is always better to buy a maintenance agreement that covers all the parts that often wear out or break, including the belts and drum. When purchasing a used copier, the insurance is definitely worth the cost of the service coverage.

There are quite a few dealers who will sell a used copier “as-is” for even steeper discounts, usually with no warranty or one as short as, say, two weeks. Although the initial price may be too attractive to resist, you may end up paying much more in the long run for repairs and maintenance costs.

Copiers provides detailed information on Copiers, Copier Toner, Color Copiers, Used Copiers and more. Copiers is affiliated with Discount Dell Laptops.

Sell More & Speak Better By Relaxing Until It’s Too Late

Keynote speakers, top salespeople, and big-time athletes face a similar challenge.

How do you get up for the game, get ready to do your best, without nervously dissipating your energy, or overvaluing the idea of winning at any cost?

In other words, how can you stay loose? How can you keep the fun in the experience, instead of turning it into a gut wrenching drag?

Something that that works for me is to:

(1) Monitor my nerves, and when they get too jittery, this cues me to take the next step, which is to:

(2) Remind myself to get nervous later, not now.

I don’t put myself down for getting the butterflies, which is an easy trap to fall into as a professional keynote speaker and sales coach.

In effect, I say to myself, “Of course you want to feel nervous, and you’ll get your chance, later, closer to kickoff time.”

Then something marvelous happens.

I really relax. I enjoy myself. I enhance my upcoming event with some new twists.

I might even decide to add a new celebrity impression to my “act,” like Sean Connery.

Of course, while all of this relaxing and fun prep are going on, the clock is ticking away, and I’m not sweating it, or anything.

Then, it’s 30 seconds until I’m “on” and guess what?

It’s too late to worry!

This has worked for me so many times, in so many settings, that I feel it is nearly foolproof.

Try it for yourself, and please tell me how you do!

Nine Advance Networking Skills for Seasoned Networkers

A seasoned networker knows the real meaning of networking –
being organized, efficient, effective, and, of course, work
the event to its fullest. Attending networking groups after
so many years can tire and drain anyone’s excitement.
Especially since these situations are not social events. It
is easy to have one foot in the event and the other some
place else. A major challenge for all networkers is to be
there with both feet.

What propels someone to advance networker? Is it the number
of events or the number of years they attend? No. Is it
the delicate balance and expertise on how they work the
event? Yes.

Here are nine techniques that raise networkers skill level:

1. Business cards. If you are networking for a new job or
career, there is nothing inappropriate about having a
business card with a tag line of what type of job or company
you are seeking.

Basic networkers learn that wearing an outfit with two
pockets is important for the business card shuffle. Advance
networkers think of those pockets as their in-box and an
out-boxes.

Aware networkers hand business card exchanges differently.
They don’t ask for the card until they know something about
the person’s functionality and there is a match. No match,
no card. When you receive someone’s card; receive it gently
with both hands, stop and read it. This shows respect.
Respect to who they are and what they do.

Present your card exactly the same way you receive a card.
Present with both hands and the card’s information facing
the receiver. Extend your card, with eye contact, and wait
for them to receive the card. To present and receive in
this manner, both hands need to be free.

Keep a pen handy, in the out-box pocket with your own cards,
for writing tidbits on the back. Doing so is also a
physical queue that is your pocket in case you forget. In-
box, left pocket, is for other’s cards. If you are left-
handed, the boxes are opposite.

Never apologize for your business card. At the last six
events I attended, there were at least four people that were
apologizing for either not having a business card, or for
some error on their card. When this occurs you have zapped
your personal power. It sends a signal that you aren’t
ready to do business. Even quickie inkjet business cards
and better than an excuse.

If you don’t have any business cards or ran out, I recommend
skipping events until you do. Don’t say you don’t have a
card, use this other technique: ask if you can call them
and schedule the time then. Advance networkers are ready to
schedule an appointment right then. Generally seasoned
networkers toss any business card if presented with an
excuse.

2. Brochures, samples or flyers. If you need to hold any
of these use an appropriate see-through sleeve or small see-
through carrier. For flyers use a clear sleeve with an in
and out business card holders on the front. This keeps
handouts clean and safe. People don’t appreciate receiving
paper with bent edges or ragged rims. If you write
articles, bring your latest and appropriate copy for
handouts. One handout per event is appropriate.

3. Eye contact depends on the culture. I’m speaking here
for the American culture. Make eye contact, both eyes, when
presenting your business card or receiving theirs. Make eye
contact when shaking hands. And look at them, not their
hands. Honor the person by maintaining focused eye contact
on them.

Seasoned networkers know if you are right handed, the name
tag is placed on the right. This allows the name to appear
in visual perimeter when shaking hands. If the name tag is
on the left, others assume you are left handed and will
present their other hand accordingly.

During your 30 seconds, advanced networkers don’t begin or
continue speaking as they stand or return to their seat.
They breathe from their stomach and slowly look around the
room before speaking to gain audience attention and allow
people to switch to listening mode.

4. It is not important to meet everyone in the room. Use
the time efficiently to meet only those that match your
intention. Seasoned networkers know when and how to break-
off the contact to keep moving. They do so smoothly.

If you know others in the room, seasoned networkers know how
to hand the other person off to the next person. “Jill, let
me introduce you to Sandy. Sandy, Jill. Please excuse me
while you two get to know each other.” Another way to
politely move on is by saying, “Thank you, I’ve enjoyed
talking with you. I know we’re both here to meet other
people. So, let’s do so.”

5. Come ready to sell (one of my pet peeves). People bring
an event flyer with a call to action to register at a
website or mail a check. You just lost the sale. Be ready,
accept cash, check or credit card payment. Generally
people don’t carry more than $20 and prefer to use their
credit or debit cards. Give people an incentive for
registering at the event. Ask for a commitment. Flyers
that require a visit to a website or to mail a check almost
always get trashed. You can see them piled in the events
trash can.

If you’re not ready to get orders, omit it. If you are an
author, bring your books and sell them. Autograph the
book. Ask if they want to purchase a copy for a client or
friend.

When people don’t accept credit cards, it tells me they are
new and aren’t ready to sell. It can also say that the
event will have little attendance. People hate to show up
at events with little attendance.

6. Let go of the multi-tasking ladies. Eat first and then
network. People generally don’t want to interrupt someone
when they are eating. Use a purse that doesn’t slide off
the should ever few minutes, it’s distracting. You may want
not to take a purse or use it to hold the material in
plastic sleeves.

7. Introducing yourself, title vs. functionality. Which is
more important to the person you are talking to — your
title or what functions you can help them with. Yep, the
latter. Instead of saying, “I’m a tax preparer” say, “I
help people save money on their taxes”. Instead of saying,
“I’m a business coach” give a WIIFM. Here’s one of mine:
“One of my specialties is to help service professionals
create a short business plan in less than an hour that says
everything they need to stay focused for the coming year.”

Be careful of your tone, pace, and breathing when you talk.
People don’t naturally tune into what you are saying until
the third or fourth word. The example above, “One of my…
doesn’t say anything important until “service
professionals”. Name presentation is the same. I say,
Catherine Franz, slowly and then repeat my first name:
“Catherine with a C”. Generally, when people are nervous,
they forget to breath before speaking. Then the information
erupts like a volcano. Most of it as inaudible.

8. Less than % of 1% of unseasoned networkers follow-up.
That is a sad statistic, and loss of opportunity. Recently,
after five events and tagging 40 business cards, only four
followed up. I called four, said I wanted to place an
order, and still no response. When we met up again, they
apologized for being too busy. Oops, I went somewhere else.
Stop the excuses, no wants to hear them.

On another similar note, don’t promise to follow-up and
don’t. It shoots down your credibility. If you are one of
these, please note, when this occurs, people many times take
it personally.

Follow-up within 24 business hours. Your follow-up displays
your level of commitment to relationships. The way you
follow-up, e-mail or phone, measures how much you want a
relationship.

9. Prepare for the event. Bring any promised items. For
morning events, prepare the day before. Arrive early.
Early bird gets the worm. Freshen up, walk in relaxed,
breathing correctly, standing tall, and ready. Bring
samples, product specials of the month to sell. If its hand
cream, use it and pass it around the room. Author of a new
book, read a paragraph that gets them curious during your 30
seconds, and bring copies for people to purchase.

Writing Articles, Pictures, Movies and Books

Thank you Christopher,

That was indeed an answer to my question, yet I still have some doubts. Isn’t article production not competing with writing books?

This is important for others too I think, because everyone may have their own objective (in writing) and this is more than a single target of numbers although not unimportant.
It would help people to write more if they would be in a race for writing a (virtual) book.
This is what will help you in communicating a complex business change. You are to picture a vision. And writing a book could be something like that: A daring, far away, yet possible target.

First the process. This is what I always look at when dealing with business and consulting. Writing a set of articles is production (part of your personal productivity) and writing a book is also production, but yet the process of both varies.

Article production can be done by using a “simple” template. You think about any topic, you choose a problem and you write (the beginning of) a solution. This pattern - as architects would call it, doesn’t fit the book production process.

Writing a book requires a leading thread, which you must investigate first. A book requires a lot of analysis, literature investigation, etc. that fills your day. Time spend which you could not use otherwise. Not on writing articles (I think).

Besides the process, you are talking about competences. I can shoot pictures, of people, nature, of a pair of forgotten shoes in the sand near the beach. Yet I do not know the first thing about producing a film.

Although having doubts, I think there might be a solution. But I’m also curious how others think about this topic.
