Google Patent Application - User Data As Part of Ranking Process

In this third article, we continue to dig into the patent application of Google regarding the method used to rank sites in search results. Interestingly, Google asserts in the application that it “might” consider user data as a factor in organizing search results.

What Is User Data?

Without being rude, you should already know what user data is as part of your site evaluation. Any owner of a site on the web should be constantly looking at user data found on site servers.

The site server should have an administrative program telling you what searches are being used to reach the site, better known as “search strings.” The program should also be telling you how many pages the user looks at on each visit and where in the site they go. By reviewing these statistics, you can identify the sections of your site that appeal to potential customers. If clients are leaving after visiting only one or two pages, such statistics should tell you that you have an abandonment problem. The new information from the Google patent should motivate you to closely monitor your site.

Essentially, Google is also looking at your server statistics to determine the value of your content and factoring it into the rankings. Specifically, Google claims in the patent application that it tracks the amount of time that users spend accessing a page on your site. Having filed a few patent applications in my time, what this really means is Google is looking at how long a user spends on your site and how “deep” they go into it.

Expanding on this subject, Google details an additional factor. As with the Adwords program, Google is monitoring the click through rate on search results. The more click-throughs to your site from its listings in Google, the higher it will be moved in the search results.

Every Little Bit Helps

Google claims that it looks at what users are bookmarking. The apparent jist is that Google considers a site with a lot of bookmarks to be “worthy” of a higher ranking. In short, get out there and bookmark your sites!

Conclusion

The effort of Google to look for depth in a site should be commended. There is nothing worse then clicking onto a promising search result to find one crappy page full of links. With this new policy, Google rewards sites with healthy amounts of relevant pages. In short, content is king again.

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #37

Close Kept Secrets to Weight Loss Lesson #37

What does it mean to vibrate at a higher level of consciousness?

Energy is everywhere. There is no where it is not. Everything
has energy. It’s either lower vibration or higher vibration, and
we get to make a conscious choice which one we will choose. When
we make our choice, then we’ve decided what we intend to
attract. It is our decision, no one else’s. No one can make you
choose either one. It’s your responsibility.

What does lower vibration look like? All negative energy is
lower vibration: hatred, fear, resistance, worry, being
offended, frustration, doubt…things that make you feel
anxious. Every thought that expresses: “I can’t do it. I don’t
deserve. I’m not enough” are all lower energies.

What does higher vibration look like? All positive energy is
high vibration: love, gratitude, fun, deep breathing, exercise,
music that feeds our soul, shaking your hiney as you dance,
nature…things that make you feel great. Every thought that
expresses: “I can do it. I do deserve. I am enough” are all high
energies.

I can remember having a conversation with my daughter having a
challenge with another person. She said, “He makes me so mad.”
We then had a lengthy discussion about this statement.

How can anyone make you mad? It’s not possible. The decision was
made to connect to lower vibration. You have to own the
responsibility of your choice.

It’s beautiful to think in these terms. Each moment we make a
decision: Am I going to choose to be in harmony with God, which
is higher vibration…or not. You take ownership each and every
moment. You have the power to choose.

Which energy do you think brings you closer to your weight loss
goals?

Right now, do something that brings you harmony. This will take
1 minute or less. Let’s have some fun. Turn on some music and
get up and boogey. That’s right, bring up that vibration of
energy. Yes, you’re feeling it now. Even if you’re at work, let
loose. You will be the envy of everyone.

Remember, it doesn’t matter what people think. What only matters
is this. Am I feeling great? If the answer is yes, then you have
made your choice of the two energy levels. Let others make their
choice. If they choose to be offended by what you do, you don’t
have to do anything with their decision. Bless them and let it
go. The Universe will take care of them. It’s that simple.

All you are responsible for is your own power, your choices.
It’s all about you. It’s that simple.

Just ask yourself this question: If I intend to lose weight,
what do I need to do each day to bring me in vibrational harmony
with that decision?

Remember all the tools you have available: Rapid Eye Therapy,
Emotional Freedom Techniques, meditation, deep breathing,
gratitude, exercise, good nutrition, cleansing and
supplementation products from Isagenix, laughing, journaling,
affirmations, prayer.

You are your ideal weight and attracting everything that is
positive.

I’m proud of you!

Love and hugs,

Epiphany

Last week we left off with: “I remember the day. It was not as
hot as usual. There were a few hints of dark clouds in the sky.
I could smell rain coming from somewhere off in the distance.

Without hardly even thinking I pushed the button on the box.”

—————————————————————–
—————

And now continuing:

“What do you want?” the box asked.

“Would you like your lawn mowed sir?” I asked.

No response.

I waited for a few minutes. Still no response. This was unusual.

And then I heard someone coming to the door. It opened. A rather
young man, neat and trimmed with newer clothes on stepped
outside.

He looked at me. I looked back.

He looked around his yard. He looked at me again.

He walked around to the side of his house. I followed him.

“I could use some help with lawn mowing. Do you do a good job?”
He gently asked me.

“Yes, I do. I have many customers you could ask.” I pointed down
the street at a few of my customers.

“Ok, come back tommorrow and I will probably have you start.”
With that he disappeared back inside.

I stood there dumbfounded. As the blood that had rushed to my
ears started to ease away, I started to hear the birds chirping.
A wind was blowing gently and it felt good against my face. The
smell of rain was getting stronger and the tops of the trees
were starting to move like a cradle.

As I turned my shoe twisting on the concrete made a clear sound.

Safe Winter Driving

During the winter, driving can be risky and difficult at times.
Before you can even think straight, you are slamming on the
brakes and plowing into a head-on collision. Unfortunately this
scenario plays out several times during the winter travel
season. As a seasoned driver you may think you can handle the
winter roads, but one factor that you may be overlooking is the
inexperienced, unaware drivers.

There are definitely tips and precautions you can put into
practice to make sure you are fully prepared for safe winter
travel. Do not try to act brave and assume no precautions need
to be taken because of your years of driving experience. As this
may be true, not even experienced drivers can always control a
car on ice. The ice overtakes control of the automobile leaving
you the one without control.

Here are some tips to plan and have organized before driving in
the winter:

1) Dress appropriately for the winter driving. In case of an
accident you want to keep warm in order to have free movement
and not be restricted. 2) View the weather reports on your local
station or go to The Weather Network to check on local
conditions before doing any winter travel. 3) Make sure you are
well rested and alert before you get into the car. During winter
driving, you need to be awake and have full attention on your
driving. 4) Prepare the car with non-perishable items and plenty
of water incase you are caught in a snow storm. Keep your cell
phone on at all times so you will be able to make that quick
call.

Now that you are ready to depart for winter travel, here are
some tips to help you stay safe while driving.

1) Allow extra distance between cars. 2) When you realize you
are on ice, accelerate slowly and brake steadily. Do not slam on
the brakes. Make sure you are continuously pumping the brakes
until you can come to a safe stop. 3) If you do start sliding on
the ice, make sure you always steer into the skid. This means
steer the car in the direction of the backend. Do not jerk the
car as this will send you into a spin. 4) If you have ABS,
remember in the winter weather this system will need more
distance to come to a complete stop. 5) The most important tip
is to stay alert and keep your eyes on the road at all times
during winter travel.

If you are unsure of how to drive in the winter, then you may
want to consider taking an advanced driving course for winter
weather. Here are a few winter driving courses to consider:

Ottawa Area -

East GTA Area -
http://www.accentdrivingschool.com/course-driving-schedule.php

Eastern Ontario Area - http://www.drivingskills.on.ca/

West GTA Area - http://www.skidcontrolschool.com/

As always, the best option is to stay off the roads during
severe winter weather. If this is not an option, then make sure
to use the above tips to be prepared for your winter travel.
